Silver Snow Tree Oval Easel Card Craftsuprint Nov 2019

November 1 2019,

Welcome Back Friends

Robin here with Craftsuprint with their lovely Silver Snow Tree Easel Card . Talk about beautiful kits, be sure to check out their massive selection of cards, purses and such.

I began by printing off my kit two times, I had decided I wanted to some additional dimension. I cut out all the pieces on the first kit and assembled according to the instruction. I then decided I would pop dot the second tree over the first tree, I added Diamond Dust to the tree using white glue, for a stunning a sparkle. I then cut out all the braiding on the second sheet and added that over top to the first braiding, add the cluster of poinsettias, the banner and a bow for a beautiful one of a kind card!

One Of A Kind Steampunk Tag with ScraPerfect Oct 2019

October 26 2019

Welcome Back Friends,

Hello, it is Robin with ScraPerfect, here to share with you a Steampunk tag I created using the Best Glue Ever.

I have used the Best Glue Ever for a few months now, and I have to endorse the glue as the Best Glue Ever! You need so little glue to make a immediate contact, it is amazing. Easy clean up and dries fast!

I began my project with a fabulous MDF Tag I found at my favorite resell shop. It was already weathered, and I decided to not do a thing to it. I went through my stash and picked out the elements I used to put my tag together. I really love creating tags! I love going through little bits and pieces of ribbon, cut outs, extra punched out items, chip board pieces, you name it and putting together in a one of kind tag.

I inked all edges including the tag edges and then designed my layout, before gluing anything down.
After putting my tag together, I decided the word journey would tie it all together, don't you think?

Grab a tag and go through your stash and see what you can create!

As always I appreciate your visit and kind comments.

Until Next Time......

Unique Vintage Halloween Tag Flip TMC4U 0ct 2019

October 15 2019

Welcome Back Friends,

Robin here with Taylor Made Cards 4U, using the Passport To Halloween. which can be found here: Halloween Passport Kit

BOO!

Halloween is one my favorites to celebrate! Could be my family history, with tales of my maternal Great Grandmother's "gift" of being a clairvoyant! I believe my great grandmother had this gift and a few others. I was 12 when she passed. When we girls went to clean out her home, which was a apartment at the Portage Hotel, downtown, Akron Ohio, as she was the live in interior decorator!! As we were packing up her things, my sister and myself were allowed to pick a few items of hers, for us to cherish. I chose her "cards" that she played with us often, which later in life, I learned were children's tarot cards from Vienna! After I raised my family, and retired, I began to look into my background, and have discovered much information not only about her tarot cards, but her life, which was very colorful! I also discovered, I am a lot like her, according, too mother and have inherited many of her gifts and talent, for which that I am very thankful. In memory of Violet Shrum, I created this Tag Flip, check it out.

I began my project by first creating all the tags I wanted to use out of 110 # card stock. I love a sturdy project!  I then cover the tags with the pattern paper from the kit. I inked all tag edges using TH Distress Ink in Walnut Stain and then set aside.

I then sorted through all of the great bits and pieces of ephemera that are included in the kit. I fussy cut them out, and the inked all edges. I then gathered a few items I had in my stash, such as the little bottle, a few die cut pieces from past projects, and maybe a fabric tag or two, the bugs, a flower, etc, I was now ready to assemble all my tags.

What is your favorite time of year to celebrate!!

CAS- the Rule Of One Third- Birthday Card for Perfectly CAS

October 15 2019

Welcome Back Friends, Robin here with,  Perfectly CAS Challenge Blog, using the rule of 1/3 of the card and a lot of white space or what ever color you choose.

Happy Birthday! I love to celebrate birthdays, they are my very favorite holiday to honor. What could be better then making a holiday out of a loved ones birthday! My mother always made a whole day of celebration out of all of our birthdays. The day started with your favorite breakfast, yummy, mine was always waffles with peanut butter! After she cleaned up the kitchen from breakfast, she got busy baking the cake, not just any cake, she has a cookbook full of shaped cakes, dogs, merry go around, cat, hot air balloon, cars, baseball, bat and mitt, etc, the birthday person, got to pick their cake! No sooner then she got the cake done, frosted and decorated, it was time to start on the birthday persons, favorite dinner! I always ordered homemade mac and cheese! I too carried on the same tradition with my son, making many fun memories.

In the spirit of using 1/3 of the card space, I chose to use one of my favorite stamps and colored card stock.

I splattered a little orange ink with a tooth brush  and added a small amount of orange colored flakes. Hope you enjoy my CAS card.

Unique Steampunk Mini Journal with easy binding for ScraPerfect 10/9.2019

October 9 2019

Welcome Back Friends,

Robin here with  ScraPerfect, with a unique mini journal. I am smitten with anything Steampunk!! I have always been interested in the Victorian era, the style, steam, and industrial are very fascinating to me.Who knows, I may of had another life in that time.

I am new to The Best Ever Glue, and let me tell you, it is The Best Ever Glue! It takes very little glue for a solid bond, dries fast and also clear. The needle tip cap is perfect for applying glue to small pieces. I am sold! Be sure to check it out and the many other fine products from ScraPerfect.

I began my mini journal by recycling a Good Season Dressing box, I trimmed down to the size I wanted. I then covered the box with pattern paper, using The Best Glue Ever, of course! After covering the inside, I inked all edges for a worn look. I turned my attention to the cover and embellished it, with a sentiment and a few cogs and gears.

I cut my pages for the inside and made two sets of five. I then used a easy binding method I discovered, and hope my photos explain how to do it.

Cut your string, ribbon, floss, with enough length to make a larks head knot, and enough to tied in a knot in the middle of of the pages, times how many sets you want to include in your journal. I added two. Tie a larks head knot on the right side and the left side of the gear.

Add two additional pieces of string, repeating the steps above. You will have a cog with 2 sets of 2 pieces of string on both sides.

Place your set of pages inside the journal, place the cog with strings on the outside spine, pull the string into the center of set of pages and tie in a tight knot. Repeat with the other set of pages and trim strings.

Add the second set of pages to complete the journal.

Welcome Back Friends,

Robin  here with Happy Little Stampers, ATC Team. It is time for a new ATC Challenge, Anything Goes, must be a trio! Please consider joining us!!

I love Fall and I my favorite holiday has always been Halloween. My maternal Grandma started a Halloween tradition in 1969, and my family is still carrying on the tradition! We all get together on the Sunday before Halloween, have a breakfast of coffee, donuts and quiche. We pile in cars and head out to the pumpkin patch, with patterns in hand of what we want to carve on our pumpkins. We carve and eat homemade pizza all day. Maybe that is why I love Halloween!

What is your favorite about Fall??

Vintage Apothecary Druggist Travel Box for TaylorMadeCards4U 2019

October 1 2019

Welcome Back Friends,

Hello, Robin here, from TaylorMade4U, inspiration team.

I am so excited to share my project with you today ! I chose to work with the Vintage Apothecary Labels, and I feel in love!

I began my project by calling on a recycled technique I learned as a kid. My brothers were in Cub Scouts and my Mother was their Den Mother, which meant me and my sister were always worked into the scheme if things, as my Father was a firefighter/paramedic and was gone 24 hours a shift.

I began by cutting up a brown paper grocery bag to fit my box. I balled it up and crumpled it up a few times to add wrinkles and to break down the paper to a softer paper. I covered my box with the bag and then distressed with antique linen ink. As a kid we used brown shoe polish for this part, to make our grocery bag vests look like leather that we needed as part of  Indian costume for the pack meeting.

I used one of the labels in the Vintage Apothecary Labels kit on the outside of my box. I added die cut apothecary bottles from my stash, to complete the front of the box.

After lining the inside of the box with kraft paper, I fussy cut out the labels and inked the edges. I went through my stash of bottle stamps and stamped out 5 bottles. After fussy cutting the bottles out, I added foam tape to the back of 4 of the bottles adding one row of tape on 3 and 2 rows of foam tape on one, for added interest and adhere to the back of the box.

The other 3 pieces, I cut a  small rectangle, scored it in the middle, adhere one end on the back of the bottle and the other half on the bottom of the box to create another row of bottles.

To finish the traveling apothecary box, I added a few extra labels and a pen, to the inside lid.

I am smitten with everything vintage! I found inspirational for my project from my personal collection of apothecary bottles, I have collected over the years in my travels.

Snarky Tag In celebration of "Snarktober" Addicted To Stamps and More #361 ATG Stamps and More

October 2 2019

Welcome Back Friends,

Robin here with a snarky tag, in celebration of "Snarktober" for Addicted To Stamps and More Challenge Blog

I have always had a hearty sense of humor! I am that lady at the card store that is laughing so hard, sometimes with tears in her eyes , as I am reading the cards! It doesn't take much for me to find funny anywhere, especially in the snark department.  So it only seemed fitting that I create a snarky tag for inspiration this month.

I created a white tag, rounded the bottom corners and punched a hole at the top. I have been gently easing into the style CAS, so I wanted to keep this tag a little clean. Using a sponge  pad I applied a little DO Pickled Raspberry to the tag on the bottom third. I punched out a 2 1/2 inch circle from white stock and another from patterned paper this will be my focal point. I then die cut the word love 3 times out of black stock, gluing them all together to make a thicker love. I heat embossed love with black powder and set aside. I then went to work on my focal point. I covered the circle with patterned paper and inked the edges, using pickled raspberry. I then stamped the lady and sentiment on white stock, and then stamped the heart. I fussy cut all those out, and was now ready for assembly. I added a few black flat back pearls to tie the tag all together.

Do you have a favorite company for snark stamps? This sentiment came for a set by Stamp Camp titled "Vamps and Vixens", this set is one of my "favs" for snark!

Thank You for visiting and as always I appreciate your kind comments.

Until Next Time..........
