Handcrafted Gold and Silver Gift Box- Happy Craft Dec 2012

December 1 2019

Welcome Back Friends,

Robin here with Happy Craft Challenge Blog with the perfect holiday gift box, embellished with silver poinsettias.

I love to recycle found items in my crafting projects. I received a wonderful handmade bar of soap in this paper mache box I used for my project, it still smells of the lovely scent from the soap.

I began by painting my box with gold acrylic paint. While that dried, I fussy cut the poinsettias out, After the box was dry, I adhered the ribbon and arranged the poinsettias, pop dotting them for added dimension. Adding glitter berries, gave the project some "shiny" !!!

Thank You for visiting and as always I appreciate your kind comments.

Addicted To Stamps and More # 349 CAS July 10 2019

July 10 2019

Welcome Back Friends,

It is with pleasure that I announce that I made the design team for Addicted To Stamps and More Challenge Blog!!  which can be found here: Blog

I am not much of a gardener per say, however, my hubby loves yard work and gardening, flowers and eating gardening too! I have many beautiful shrubs, blubs, and the like, that return year after year and put on a beautiful show! Some of my very favorite flowers belong to the daisy family with Blanket Flower and Shasta Daisy's being my very favorite! I created a my Clean and Simple card based off of my favorites and supplies I had on hand.

Here is my supply list:

White card and envelope
Adhesive
Corner rounder- EK Success Scalloped Corner Rounder
White Embossing Powder
Versamark Ink
Sponge blender pad for inks
Eye shadow applicator for petal blending
Ink Pads- Tim Holtz Distress Ink in colors: Broken China, Blended Sage, Mustard Sees, and Fossilized Amber
Stamp and dies cut set: Stampendous- Build a bouquet set

Here is what I did: I rounded top and bottom right hand corners of my card, set a side.
I stamped and heat embossed the bouquet pieces I chose to use, I then added color to the pieces using the inks listed above. I die cut them out, using their coordinating dies and then set aside.
I added a very faint Broken China blue, spot, blending it well,  at the bottom of card, so my jar looked grounded
I then built my bouquet, adhering pieces as I went.
That's it!

I hope I have inspired you to create today!

As always I appreciate your visit and kind comments.

Until next time......

Happy Little Stampers ATC Team Floral July 7 2019

July 7 2019

Welcome Back Friends,

I am proud to announce I have made the ATC Team at Happy Little Stampers! I have always enjoyed creating ATC's and with the recent discovery of ATC Coins, I am smitten!! This is my first post for Happy Little Stampers Challenge Blog which can be found here:  Blog !

I am a born, raised and aging Ohioan, north east Ohio to be exact. I thought summer was never going to get here, I turned my heat off in the middle of June, instead of my usual April 1, Yikes! Have no fear though, summer is here. Today it is unbearable with the heat and humidity, my AC is running over time, Yikes again! LOL. All this heat was my inspiration for my trio of summer floral ATC's. Longing for a beach breeze, the sound of the ocean and the beauty of tropical flowers, lead me to my finished projects.

Creating ATC's is the perfect time to go hunting in your scrap bin for your card stock supplies! I have a rolling cart with 7 pull out drawers and space for another drawer full on the top! I have my scraps sorted by basic colors stuffed in the drawers. with pattern paper added by color too.

Here is what I did:

I pulled out Navy Blue, Light Blue, White paper stock and then pulled out scraps that complimented my colors that had patterns.
I trimmed my stock to ATC size-  2 1/2 inches wide by 3 1/2 inches long. I then trimmed patterned paper is various shapes, one I made into a flag/tag, the next into a mat for my stock and lastly just a strip of paper.
From there, I began stamping my flowers, and embellishments to add to all 3 ATC's. I then fussy cut them out.
Next I began by trying pieces out on each ATC card till I found a combination I liked for each.  I glued down all the embellishments, and pop dotted a few flowers for added dimension.

I really like how the trio turned out! Please consider joining us at Happy Little Stamper Challenge Blog. There are many different types of challenges to enter, and win some fun prizes!

As always I appreciate your visit and kind comments.

Until next time......
