I computer generated the sentiment Getting Old Is Not For Sissies, and die cut some cog and gears. Funny cut the sentiments and ink all edges. From there assemble the hangers, pop dotting the truck image.

CAS- the Rule Of One Third- Birthday Card for Perfectly CAS

October 15 2019

Welcome Back Friends, Robin here with,  Perfectly CAS Challenge Blog, using the rule of 1/3 of the card and a lot of white space or what ever color you choose.

Happy Birthday! I love to celebrate birthdays, they are my very favorite holiday to honor. What could be better then making a holiday out of a loved ones birthday! My mother always made a whole day of celebration out of all of our birthdays. The day started with your favorite breakfast, yummy, mine was always waffles with peanut butter! After she cleaned up the kitchen from breakfast, she got busy baking the cake, not just any cake, she has a cookbook full of shaped cakes, dogs, merry go around, cat, hot air balloon, cars, baseball, bat and mitt, etc, the birthday person, got to pick their cake! No sooner then she got the cake done, frosted and decorated, it was time to start on the birthday persons, favorite dinner! I always ordered homemade mac and cheese! I too carried on the same tradition with my son, making many fun memories.

In the spirit of using 1/3 of the card space, I chose to use one of my favorite stamps and colored card stock.

I splattered a little orange ink with a tooth brush  and added a small amount of orange colored flakes. Hope you enjoy my CAS card.

Thank You for visiting and as always I appreciate your kind comments.

Until next time.....

Jo's Scrap Shack FCC 281 Team B Lemon Shortbread Digi Stamps May 10 2019

May 10 2019

Welcome Back Friends,

Birthdays are one of my favorite holidays to celebrate, what a celebration for the day one was born! As a kid growing up, birthdays were a big deal in our house, Mom always fixed your favorite dinner, and of course made a birthday cake, from scratch and it was always a fancy cake, perhaps a pink poodle with pink coconut for fur, or maybe purse shape cake! My Grandma's were always there with their hand crafted gifts, Oh, how I looked forward to seeing what each of them had made me!

When I received the digi dtamp, from  Lemon Shortbread digi stamps,
I was to work with, I knew I was going to make a Happy Birthday something.

Here's what I did, I paper pieced this darling little gal and her balloons. In order to do that with a digi stamp, you need to print out your imagine a couple times, on different colored paper. I then fussy cut out her clothing, shoes, dress and balloons. and the one image of her in black and white. Assemble your paper doll, using white glue, and adhere to the bag front. I die cut Happy Birthday from
Tim Holtz and adhere to my paper doll tag

I hope you enjoyed my gift bag,Thank You for visiting, I appreciate your kind comments and your support

Until Next time............ Robin

Jo's Scrap Shack FCC # 279 Team B LBBS Tasty Cup Cake 4/26/2019

April 26 2019

Welcome Back Friends,

I love to celebrate birthdays! Mine, of course, LOL, and family and friends. When I received my Little Blue Button Stamp to work with I knew I wanted to create a masculine gift box, that later could be used as a stash box.

I pulled a wooden cigar box from my stash that has a suede top and black graphics. I began by coloring my cupcake with Tim Holtz's Distress Oxide Ink in colors Old Paper and Walnut Stain. I fussy cut the cup cake taking care to cut a part the frosting as I wanted to pop dot it for added dimension.  I die cut cogs and gears from Tim Holtz, and embossed then using, Seth Apter's Baked Texture, in Vintage Bees Wax, and bronze. I die cut Happy Birthday and embossed with Ultra Thick Black embossing powder.

I pulled out a few steampunk metallic buttons I had in my stash and added some here and there to tie in the metal corners on the box.

I finished the inside with pattern paper, and birthday sentiment and a stamped top hat, to tie in the steampunk vibe.

I hope you enjoyed my project for Jo's Scrap Shack FunDay Friday Challenge Blog.

Thank You for visiting and I appreciate your continued support and kind comments

Until next time...........
