Creating with Infinity Engraving, Butterfly Swirl May 13 2012

May 21 2019

Welcome Back Friends,

Spring has finally sprung, however in Northeast Ohio, it is still chilly. Flowers are waking up and pushing up from their winter nap. I have many plants in my flower beds that attract butterflies, and I enjoy watching then flit about my yard. I found inspiration when working in my yard for my project, for Creating with Infinity Designs, using Butterfly Swirls, from  Infinity Designs which can be found here: https://www.etsy.com/listing/684834317/butterfly-swirl

I really love the look of raw chip board that has been inked with walnut stain ink. Doesn't it look like wood?!

Thank You for visiting, I appreciate your time and kind comments

Taylormadecards4u Fathers Day Passport Kit-Gone Fishin

Welcome Back Friends,

My father has been gone a long time, 21 years this August. However, I have the dearest memories of him, I will carry forever. He was a firefighter/paramedic for the city of Akron Ohio for 30 some years. He loved his job. and was good at it. As a kid, I had no idea, of course, all that went with his job. The stress and hard work are what I suppose lead to a escape . He loved to veggie garden and fishing was a regular for him. I have some wonderful memories of our fishing excursions from beginning to the end. If my father was off on a Sunday, that was our day at the lake, my mother a Sunday school teacher, would remind us that our attempts to catch fish would not be fruitful, because we were absent from church! Funny thing, on Sundays we never had any fish in our bucket.

My Father passed his love off to my son, who is also a firefighter/paramedic for the city of Strongsville and loves to fish with his two sons!  I am so thankful that my father shared his passions with my son, who is now passing them on too my two grandson. Proud mother and grandmother, right here!

As I was working with the Fathers Day Passport kit-Gone Fishin, which can be found here :

                                                         https://www.taylormadecards4u.com/

I enjoyed a walk down memory lane, fun days with my father and recalling my sons and grandsons fishing stories!

I hope your enjoyed my project. Thank You for your support and kind comments. I also wanted to note, I used the Tackle Box and card pattern from Fast Wagon.

Until next time......

Jo's Scrap Shack FCC 281 Team B Lemon Shortbread Digi Stamps May 10 2019

May 10 2019

Welcome Back Friends,

Birthdays are one of my favorite holidays to celebrate, what a celebration for the day one was born! As a kid growing up, birthdays were a big deal in our house, Mom always fixed your favorite dinner, and of course made a birthday cake, from scratch and it was always a fancy cake, perhaps a pink poodle with pink coconut for fur, or maybe purse shape cake! My Grandma's were always there with their hand crafted gifts, Oh, how I looked forward to seeing what each of them had made me!

When I received the digi dtamp, from  Lemon Shortbread digi stamps,
I was to work with, I knew I was going to make a Happy Birthday something.

Here's what I did, I paper pieced this darling little gal and her balloons. In order to do that with a digi stamp, you need to print out your imagine a couple times, on different colored paper. I then fussy cut out her clothing, shoes, dress and balloons. and the one image of her in black and white. Assemble your paper doll, using white glue, and adhere to the bag front. I die cut Happy Birthday from
Tim Holtz and adhere to my paper doll tag

I hope you enjoyed my gift bag,Thank You for visiting, I appreciate your kind comments and your support

Until Next time............ Robin

Scrapping4fun Challenge Blog Tea Box May 10 2019

May 10 2019

Welcome back friends

This is my first project and post for Scrapping4funBlog!! https://scrapping4funchallenges.blogspot.com/. The theme for this challenge is Coffee-Tea. I drink both, coffee is my morning go to and tea is my afternoon or bed time wind down go to. I enjoy tea in  tea bags, I have some favorites in bags,  and also loose leaf tea, I enjoy both. I had just received a bag of loose leaf tea as a gift and decided on a tea box! As I was creating this tea box, I took a walk down memory lane, Every Sunday morning, I would walk to church, pass the building where my maternal grandmother lived. After church I would always stop in to see my Grandmother, where she would be just putting the kettle on and setting the table for our Sunday get together ! I would eat slices of Hollywood brown bread with butter, yes real butter and peanut butter on top with a cup of Salada tea with two sugar cubes. We would visit and talk like we were not going to see each other again for a long time, funny thing, I would be seeing her on Monday!! My grandmother and her mother, my great grandmother spent every day of the week with us at our house! I look back on the time spent with them with love and thankfulness. They shaped me into the woman I am today. I miss them both dearly.

Here is what I did, I happen to have the doily like wood cut in my stash, which I painted white. The blue plate like piece come from Bo Bunny. I stamped the cup, spoon, and tea bag. Using Tim Holtz Distress Ink in Faded Jeans, I brushed the edges.  Put it all together for a one of kind gift for yourself or a tea loving friend.

I hope I was able to provide some inspiration for you! Thank you for visiting and your support.

Until next time........
