How to make a Steampunk Altered Paint Brush.
Welcome Back Friends,
Robin here with ScraPerfect Blog, sharing my altered paintbrush, I created using The Best Ever Glue,
the quick stick glue for paper crafting.
Supplies: The Best Ever Glue
Paintbrush
Foam Brush
Stamps of your choice
Card Stock - Kraft
Paint
Word die cut
Embossing powder
Hot Glue Gun
Heat Gun
Here is what I did: I started out by creating my background paper. I used a 12x 12 piece of heavy stock. Using the foam brush, I brushed in haphazard strokes, the darkest of the 3 colors I choose.
A dark tan, let dry, brush on the second color, light beige, let dry. Lastly, I used a doily stamp I had dipped in gold paint and stamped the entire sheet. Let dry. I cut out a tag from heavy stock and covered the tag with my background paper.
I painted the paintbrush and bristles. Using a hot gun I dried the brushes and the bristles, which gives the paintbrush a worn look.
I punched out a large oval from kraft and black polka dotted paper, adhered it to the tag. using The Best Glue Ever.
I stamped the hot air balloon on kraft paper, fussy cut it out and layered it over the oval.
I die cut the word journey out 4 times using kraft paper, stacked and glued them together using The Best Glue Ever, and then heat embossed the word. The word then adhered over the hot air balloon.
I stamped two pieces of ephemera onto the background paper, fussy cut them out.
I finished up by hot gluing all the pieces together for a very cool altered paintbrush!

Must see Steam Punk Pop Up Card ScraPerfect Jan 9 2020
January 9, 2020
Welcome Back Friends, and Happy Hew Year! This year seemed to fly by for me, how about you?
Robin here to share my project for the ScraPerfect Blog. Have you ever tried ScraPerfect's Best Glue Ever? If not, you must! Fast drying, quick grab and you need so little.
I created a Steam Punk pop up card for this months inspiration. I used a pop up box die cut set to cut my box. Then I assembled the box and got started on the business of embellishing. I stamped out a few embellishments and die cut the rest. Put it all together for a one of kind card, that folds flat and fits in a card envelope for mailing.
Thank You for visiting and as always I appreciate your kind comments.

Steampunk Christmas Tag Flip ScraPerfect 2019
November 26, 2019
Welcome Back Friends,
Robin here with ScraPerfect with a one of kind holiday Steampunk tag flip! I am smitten with Steampunk! I love every aspect of steampunk, an era gone by, the industrial feel, and of the ingenuity of the time.
Speaking of ingenuity, I used ScraPerfects Best Glue Ever, to assemble my tag flip! Wow fast grab, quick-drying and you need so little glue. Perfect for all your crafting needs.
I began my project by creating 4 different size tags, use as many tags as you like I had 8 images. I first inked all edges, began laying out my tags in composition form, what, where and dimension or no dimension. I assembled all the tags using my Best Glue Ever. Next, I began the embellishment part of my project. I die cut some cogs and gears, inked some and embellished each tag. I used an ornament hook to string my tags on to finish off my tag flip
The front side of my tags,
Backsides of tags
As for assembly, you can make us of many ways to hold your tag flip together. One could use, a large safety pin, a metal hinged ring, ribbon, or as I have an ornament hook. Have fun with it!
As always Thank You for your kind comments and continued support.
Until next time.......

Wonderful Pleasing Steam Punk Owl Decor-ScraPerfect -Nov2019
November 9 2016
Welcome Back Friends,
Robin here with ScraPerfect Blog. I want to share my Steam Pink Winter Owl with you, that I created using The Best Ever Glue from ScraPerfect.
I am fairly new using The Best Glue Ever, and I have to say I am addicted! Dries fast, fast grab, and you need so little glue! Give it try!
I live in Northeast Ohio, November has arrived, although it is not snowing and the sun is shining, the sky has the ever so familiar look of snow and it is chilly. When deciding what to create for my project, I decided on a wintery owl wearing his finest Steam Punk hat and watch!
I love to use found or reclaimed, recycled items in my crafting. I happen to have a block left from a set I bought at my favorite resell shop, that spelled out Joy, with the nicest background. My mind began spinning. I inked the owl in brown and stamped it on a scrap of beige stock. Rounded the corners and inked the edges for added interest to my design. Feeling chilly, I added very small bits of Floral Decor, that looks and feels like tiny bits of broken glass, to the bare tree branches he is perched on, on for a bit of whimsy. I decided I need to lightly ink the edges of the block and then pop dotted my owl on the block. Gold and Beige Baker Twine added just the right touch, using The Best Ever Glue to adhere it to the block. A few punched out snowflakes and die cut cogs and gears, adhered with The Best Ever Glue, finished my project off.
Have you ever tried The Best Ever Glue?? Leave me your thoughts!
Thank You for visiting and as always I appreciate your kind comments.
Until Next Time......

One Of A Kind Steampunk Tag with ScraPerfect Oct 2019
October 26 2019
Welcome Back Friends,
Hello, it is Robin with ScraPerfect, here to share with you a Steampunk tag I created using the Best Glue Ever.
I have used the Best Glue Ever for a few months now, and I have to endorse the glue as the Best Glue Ever! You need so little glue to make a immediate contact, it is amazing. Easy clean up and dries fast!
I began my project with a fabulous MDF Tag I found at my favorite resell shop. It was already weathered, and I decided to not do a thing to it. I went through my stash and picked out the elements I used to put my tag together. I really love creating tags! I love going through little bits and pieces of ribbon, cut outs, extra punched out items, chip board pieces, you name it and putting together in a one of kind tag.
I inked all edges including the tag edges and then designed my layout, before gluing anything down.
After putting my tag together, I decided the word journey would tie it all together, don't you think?
Grab a tag and go through your stash and see what you can create!
As always I appreciate your visit and kind comments.
Until Next Time......

Unique Steampunk Mini Journal with easy binding for ScraPerfect 10/9.2019
October 9 2019
Welcome Back Friends,
Robin here with ScraPerfect, with a unique mini journal. I am smitten with anything Steampunk!! I have always been interested in the Victorian era, the style, steam, and industrial are very fascinating to me.Who knows, I may of had another life in that time.
I am new to The Best Ever Glue, and let me tell you, it is The Best Ever Glue! It takes very little glue for a solid bond, dries fast and also clear. The needle tip cap is perfect for applying glue to small pieces. I am sold! Be sure to check it out and the many other fine products from ScraPerfect.
I began my mini journal by recycling a Good Season Dressing box, I trimmed down to the size I wanted. I then covered the box with pattern paper, using The Best Glue Ever, of course! After covering the inside, I inked all edges for a worn look. I turned my attention to the cover and embellished it, with a sentiment and a few cogs and gears.
I cut my pages for the inside and made two sets of five. I then used a easy binding method I discovered, and hope my photos explain how to do it.
Cut your string, ribbon, floss, with enough length to make a larks head knot, and enough to tied in a knot in the middle of of the pages, times how many sets you want to include in your journal. I added two. Tie a larks head knot on the right side and the left side of the gear.
Add two additional pieces of string, repeating the steps above. You will have a cog with 2 sets of 2 pieces of string on both sides.
Place your set of pages inside the journal, place the cog with strings on the outside spine, pull the string into the center of set of pages and tie in a tight knot. Repeat with the other set of pages and trim strings.
