Simply Perfectly Clean and Simple Card

January 15, 2020

Welcome Friends,

Robin here with Perfectly CAS Challenge Blog. A perfect clean and simple card uses 1/3 of the card, it can be any 1/3, but not more then a 1/3 of the card. One layer is just that.Sparse on the embellishments, if any and you have a Perfectly CAS card.

I enjoy all venues in card making with vintage, shabby chic and steam punk being my favorites. When I am creating a CAS card, I really have to control my want to embellish away!

I hope you enjoy my take on a CAS one layer card that I am sharing today.

PerfectlyCAS SnowFlakes On My Nose And Eyelash's Nov 2019

November 15 2019

Welcome Back Friends,

Robin here with Perfectly CAS Challenge Blog with this month project, Christmas. I went a bit rouge and created a Holiday card, I hope you enjoy my creation.

Keeping within the rules of using 1/3 or less of the card, not many embellishments and lots of white/color space, I decided on a non traditional color scheme card.

My card came pre embossed and I jumped off from there, punching out two snowflakes from my scrap bin and added the sentiment stamped in brown.

Thank You for visiting and as always I appreciate your kind comments.

Until Next Time.........

CAS- the Rule Of One Third- Birthday Card for Perfectly CAS

October 15 2019

Welcome Back Friends, Robin here with,  Perfectly CAS Challenge Blog, using the rule of 1/3 of the card and a lot of white space or what ever color you choose.

Happy Birthday! I love to celebrate birthdays, they are my very favorite holiday to honor. What could be better then making a holiday out of a loved ones birthday! My mother always made a whole day of celebration out of all of our birthdays. The day started with your favorite breakfast, yummy, mine was always waffles with peanut butter! After she cleaned up the kitchen from breakfast, she got busy baking the cake, not just any cake, she has a cookbook full of shaped cakes, dogs, merry go around, cat, hot air balloon, cars, baseball, bat and mitt, etc, the birthday person, got to pick their cake! No sooner then she got the cake done, frosted and decorated, it was time to start on the birthday persons, favorite dinner! I always ordered homemade mac and cheese! I too carried on the same tradition with my son, making many fun memories.

In the spirit of using 1/3 of the card space, I chose to use one of my favorite stamps and colored card stock.

I splattered a little orange ink with a tooth brush  and added a small amount of orange colored flakes. Hope you enjoy my CAS card.

Thank You for visiting and as always I appreciate your kind comments.

Until next time.....

Addicted To Stamps and More # 359 CAS Card

Welcome Back Friends,

I am here today to share a Clean and Simple card with you. I am in love with all styles of paper crafting, however, I am drawn to vintage, shabby chic and grunge, need less to say I needed guidance of the clean and simple style.

Read on for great guidelines on clean and simple.

CAS - is ONE focal image/sentiment, LOTS of BLANK space (no matter what color the card base is), minimal embellishments, and minimal layers.

That's it! Sounds Simple!  Try your hand at a CAS card and let me know what you came up with! I hope you enjoy my CAS card.

Thank You for visiting and as always I appreciate your kind comments

Addicted To Stamps and More # 349 CAS July 10 2019

July 10 2019

Welcome Back Friends,

It is with pleasure that I announce that I made the design team for Addicted To Stamps and More Challenge Blog!!  which can be found here: Blog

I am not much of a gardener per say, however, my hubby loves yard work and gardening, flowers and eating gardening too! I have many beautiful shrubs, blubs, and the like, that return year after year and put on a beautiful show! Some of my very favorite flowers belong to the daisy family with Blanket Flower and Shasta Daisy's being my very favorite! I created a my Clean and Simple card based off of my favorites and supplies I had on hand.

Here is my supply list:

White card and envelope
Adhesive
Corner rounder- EK Success Scalloped Corner Rounder
White Embossing Powder
Versamark Ink
Sponge blender pad for inks
Eye shadow applicator for petal blending
Ink Pads- Tim Holtz Distress Ink in colors: Broken China, Blended Sage, Mustard Sees, and Fossilized Amber
Stamp and dies cut set: Stampendous- Build a bouquet set

Here is what I did: I rounded top and bottom right hand corners of my card, set a side.
I stamped and heat embossed the bouquet pieces I chose to use, I then added color to the pieces using the inks listed above. I die cut them out, using their coordinating dies and then set aside.
I added a very faint Broken China blue, spot, blending it well,  at the bottom of card, so my jar looked grounded
I then built my bouquet, adhering pieces as I went.
That's it!

I hope I have inspired you to create today!

As always I appreciate your visit and kind comments.

Until next time......
Robin
