Circus Side Show Card

 Hello,

Time for a new  challenge over at This Is Halloween ! Dig out your spooky stuff and create an Anything Goes project and join us over on the challenge blog!!

My family history is steep in circus history, my Great Grandma ran away with the circus when it came to her hometown, at just 15 years old, late 1800's. I love the circus, although in my are, Northeast Ohio, there are no more circus.

Missing my Great Grandma this time of year, so I decided to honor her with this hand crafted circus tent card filled with freaks from the side show.

The Daily Curse TMC4U Sept 2020

 Welcome Back Friends,

Robin here guesting for Taylor Made Cards 4 U. Imagine my excitement when I got the call to guest for Taylor Made Cards 4 U ! I love Monica's kits, vintage, unique, and enough pieces in each kit to create a one of kind project! I got to work with The Daily Curse Kit which can be found here.

Every family has their skeletons in the closet and family secrets. I knew from a very young age that my maternal Great Grandmother was different, fun, mysterious, and had something that was not talked about. She was fashionable, but not in the current trend, fashionable in her own way. Talented in all areas of hand crafts, knitting, crocheting, paper crafts, a DIY-er before her time. She was the live in interior decorator at the very handsome, and popular Portage Hotel located in the Rubber Capital, Akron Ohio.

As a young girl, she ran away with circus after it visited her home town, On the road with the circus hired as a costume designer, she found herself surrounded by mystics of all kinds. It was there she learned about her gift, Clairvoyance, the ability to see things that are not in sight. She learned to read tarot cards, tell fortunes, and maybe even dabbled in a little witch craft!

As  I created this project, I was inspired by my Great Grandmother's talents, bravery, independence, and knowing who she was, while smiling because my Mother has always told me, I am just like her.

Thank You for visiting and as always I appreciate your kind comments.

Gecko Galz Summer Love August 2020

Welcome Back Friends,

Robin here with Gecko Galz Blog, sharing my Summer Love Projects for August. 2020

Summers as a kid was such a fun time! My maternal Great Grandma, and her daughter, my Grandma spent everyday at our house! They would arrive early in the morning, most of the time myself and sister and brothers were still sleeping. There was always a agenda for the day, some days we did hair, some days we crafted, some days we crocheted, however, everyday we baked and made a yummy dinner. Almost everyday my Great Grandma made her famous homemade lemon aid( recipe included) we all looked forwarded to a big cold cup of her yummy lemon aid.

I learned to cook and bake from all of them! We never missed a step or changed up the steps, every recipe was done the same way, everytime, I still cook and bake today the same way.

I just celebrated 63 yrs old, so my Grandma's have been gone a long time. I live in my memories of my days with the two of them, hence, my first project, a flip book I created from recycled packaging and the fabulous papers from the Retro Home Front paper pack, Retro Home Front digi stamps, and the Retro Home Front collage set, which all can be found here, Gecko Galz Etsy page.
