Mon Cherie with Arty Divas Mini Junk Journal and Shrine

 Hello !

I have never been to Paris, but I would love to go! Have you been to Paris?? Everything I see or read always has such a love attached to it!!

I got my love affair on with Paris while creating the mini junk journal, making with the fabulous collection, Mon Cherie from, Lilli Rain Designs

Lilli Rain Designs is our fabulous sponsor this month over at Arty Diva Challenge Blog! Join us, and get your craft on, anything goes every month, prizes to be won!!

I created 2 projects, my first ever mini junk journal, and a simple, but fun shrine, using an upcycle thread spool.

I used a die cut kit to cut my mini journal pages,

I embellished my pages, with bits and pieces from the Mon Cherie kit, stamped some pages. collaged pages, don't forget to add clips, and ribbons to your journal, adds so much interest!

The black shiny speckles happen to nail art polish, the brush in the bottle is thin and tapered for the just perfect size speckles, plus it is a little shiny, for a different texture. Try It!

These pages are embellished with an image from the kit, I left this page as except for a few speckles, the image is so beautiful , I didn't have the heart to add to it! The next page was covered in paper from the kit, and then Stamped with numbers and one handsome gentleman!

I could not resist a little snark, to go with these 2 beauties, and I happen to have the flower and such in my box of goodies!

The last two pages here, the left was stamped and I added goodies from box. The very last page, was covered in paper from the Mon Cherie kit, embellished with with the clock and butterfly from the kit and few goodies I added.

I really enjoyed working the images from this beautiful kit! What will you create?

Coming up.... my second project I created with more pieces, yes, more pieces !! from the Mon Cherie kit!! I love upcycling items, that would other wise be tossed in the trash, It is a great way stretch your creative skill, and save you little patch of grass from one less item in the landfill.

I really love how this shrine came together! I covered a thread spool in one of the papers that came in the kit, added bits of lace trim. Fussy cut one of the butterflies to added to the center of the spool. I punched a circle to cover the top of the spool, added 1/2 of a chopstick, down the hole, added a dab of hot glue, and then cut a circle to cover the bottom. From there I created the card with bits and pieces from the kit, and then hot glued the card to the chopstick! Embellished with a few very small flat back pearls to finish it off. I hope you love it as much as I do!

Vintage Snow Globe with Arty Divas

 Hello!!

Winter is upon us in my neck of the woods, Northeast Ohio. As I was sitting in my craft room all toasty and warm with my heavy sweat shirt on, and wool socks, pondering my projects for this month and looking at the beautiful images I have to work with from Lillie Rain Designs, Winter Cuties.

I decided to make a decor piece from an upcycled wood snow globe, I snagged at my fav thrift store !

Be Sure to stop by the Arty Diva Challenge Blog, add add you beautiful creations! Anything goes,
Oh and there some fab prizes to win!

                                                                       Oh. what fun I had!!

I covered the front and back with the Beavis cream paper, inking all edges. I ran lace trim around the round part of the globe, to give it a more vintage and finished look. I chose a scrap to much from scrap cart to match the minty green and die cut it out for the frame for my winter cutie, inking all edges. I then die cut my cutie out, inked the edges, and pop dotted her on top of the frame. Add a gauzy bow and matching flat back pearls here and there and viola! A one of kind vintage snow globe to keep you warm!

My second project was a matching pair if greeting cards, making good use of the beautiful images in the Winter Cuties set.

Two Sister's Mermaid Scale Elixir

 Welcome Back Friends,

Robin here with This Is Halloween Challenge Blog! Consider getting your craft on and create a project and enter our monthly challenges.

I have loved Halloween since I was a kid, truth be told it is the only holiday I can be myself ! LOL And I won't scare anyone away.

I created a upcycle project this month using a empty root beer bottle, the mesh bag that once hold my onions, and a fabulous image from Lilli Rain Designs , Halloween Cutie Set.

I began by hot gluing the onion sack to the bottom of my bottle. you glue gun and the glue stick in it need to be screaming hot, to adhere the net to the glass. I was going for a john don look, bottles that are wrapped in jute found filled with shells ot hangin off a dock.

I used a wavy rectangle die cut to cut out my image. Using TH Vintage Photo ink,I inked the edges and then stamped on my glass surface, I sprayed a very small amount of water into the ink, and splattered tiny ink droplets and finally laying the image in the mixture here and there. Allow the image to dry completely before working with it again.

I stamp out the label Elixir, fussy cut it out and then punch out a label, running a black sharpie around the edges to match the elixir label and then scrawled Two Sister's Mermaid Scales on the label.

While the tags were drying, adhere the net using hot glue to the neck of the bottle. I chose to leave some net not adhered completely down at the top of the bottle for more of a worn look.

I wrapper very thin leather cord around the neck of the bottle at the base, and then again at the very top, for finished look, securing the ends with a little hot glue.

From there embellishing the bottle was left, adhere all the labels where you want them. Finish of the look with a few tiny shells and some mermaid scales! I used a few pieces of frozen opals, that I have had for a long while, however, you could use anything to make your own scales.

Thank You for visiting,

Robin
