Taylor Made 4U Vintage Bugs Feb 26 2019

Welcome Friends.

Growing up with two brothers in a tight knit neighborhood of 10 boys and just 3 girls, it is no wonder that I am a tom boy!

We spent most of our days together running like a wild pack between everyone's yard and the city park just three blocks away. What fun was had as we dug up bugs, rocks, and an occasional flower plant, oops, so sorry, Mrs. Smith!

I can remember many a bug, I saved in my bug collection box, hence my choice for this month project using Taylormade4u Vintage ATC Bug cards, which can be found here: https://www.etsy.com/listing/634285107/bug-atc-cards

I had a lot of fun working with these great images from Taylormade4u!

Clip board for field notes, bug box for favorite specimens, and lastly a log book for keeping

Vintage Circus Cigar Box c/o Jo's Scrap Shack

Good Morning Friends,

Our winter weather here in north east Ohio, has me longing for warmer weather! I may not find warmer weather outside my front door, I did however create some warm memories of a time gone by for myself.

My vintage circus cigar box, brought a lot of warm fuzzy feelings for me, as I worked in my craft room one very cold, snowy day.  As you may know, I am new to the design team world, in my crafting career. I have applied and made two design teams and happen to hear about Jo's Scrap Shack, hunt for design team members. I got busy and filled in the requirements for my resume, with one being, to design a new project, just for Jo's Scrap Shack, which showed off my favorite style, a project that made my heart sing, and create I did!

My love for crafting was fostered by and tended to by my maternal grandmothers, both, great and grandma and of course, my mother.  I have very fond and warm memories crafting with three of the strongest women, who shaped me into the woman I am today.

Our crafts were a little bit of everything, felt stockings, with a white wash cloth used as the white fuzzy top, small boxes recycled into beautiful, shiny gold boxes complete with macaroni embellishments and tiny alphabet noodles spelling out our sentiments. I still have a few of creations, that have survived

the time, and cherish them, dearly.

With ideas whirling around in my mind about what I wanted to create for the interview process, I decided on a vintage circus theme. Not only do I love everything vintage, and the circus, I created it with my fond memories of craft days gone by, sitting and listening to my great grandmothers adventures with the circus, as we crafted away many hours. She ran away at age 15, and joined the circus! It was there she found what made her heart sing, as she a costume designer for years.

I hope you enjoy my project for Jo's Scrap Shack,

Hello Friends!

I have been bitten by the love bug! As I was surfing one night, I stumbled across a page where you design and create one of kind works of art, that are then posted for trade!!!! ATC Cards have been around for collecting for awhile now, however recently Joann Hodges created a ATC Coin! a 2 1/2 inch circle, instead of the card which is 2 1/2" x 3 1/2".  Just like collecting baseball cards only more artsy and of course thanks to technology across the world!! Please find following some of my one of a kind artsy coins

February 2019 Taylormade4u Office Passport Kit Clipboard

Hello Friends,

Welcome back,

I have the most exciting design team project to share with you today! I was smitten from the moment my eyes landed on the beautiful Office Passport Kit from from Taylormade4u!

My mind began wandering and weaving together a visual project in my minds eye, I hoped to create, and I did.

Check it out......... using Taylormade4u, Office Passport Kit, found here:https://taylormadecards4u.blogspot.com/…/vintage-office-feb…

I used a smaller clip board, created a pocket for the bottom, which was very easy by measuring the height and width where you wanted your pocket to be, and the trimming the card stock, 2 pieces for the sides and 1 piece for the bottom, to size. Next create a series of valley and mountain folds, spaced 1 inch apart till you have 3 folds with tabs on each piece for the sides. Next cut out the front of the pocket, and then the bottom of the pocket 2 in wide by the length of you clip board, scoring in the middle at 1 inch and fold. Assemble your pocket by, gluing the sides and bottom together and then embellishing the front of the pocket. Next take care adhering  your pocket to the front of your clip board, which had been previously covered in the paper of your choice.

Next, begin making your embellishments which will be adhered to the inside of the pocket here and there to the folds. to give your project dimension. From there the sky is the limit!

Thank You for your interest, and your continued support, until next time....
