Congrats to the Class of 2021 !!

What a rough year you all had. Here's to never having a school year like that again!!! On another note, I graduated high school way baccckkkkkk, LOL 1975! Yikes  We were still wearing bell bottoms, and spread Peace and Love!!

Here is my project for A Perfect Time To Craft challenge blog! Thanks to our sponsor this month Bug A Boo Stamps!! I had a blast walking down memory lane as I created a grad card with my alma mater colors and mascot! 

After creating my folded card, I stamped my mat with paw prints to represent our mascot the Black Tiger,  Added gold ribbon as you guessed it, Black and Gold are our colors. I may 2 copies of the grad cap and diploma from Bug A Boo, I carefully cut out the grad cap and colored it with a black marker and highlighted the white with a white Posca pen. Using a fine black marker I went over the outline on the diploma, I adhered the colored cap to the diploma and the tassel  that I left white, because mine was white!

Wild West Rodeo Queen

 Howdy Partner!

I always wanted to be aa cowgirl! My maternal Grandma made me a cow girl outfit when I was 5, and let me just say, I wore it till it was thread bare! I look on back of photos of me wearing my cow girl get up and it makes me smile. 

Over at  Gecko Galz  we are celebrating the Wild West, I created 3 shrines and a Rodeo Queen Winner ribbon to share with you today.

I used Rodeo Gal collage sheets 1 & 2 to create both the shrines and the ribbon.

I used 3 wooden shrines from the Dollar Tree, painted them navy. From there it was a matter of embellishing!! I love how they turned out!

Lastly here is my Rodeo Queen Ribbon!  I die cut a large snow flake medallion from Tim Holtz, sandwiched layers together, completed the front and embellished!

Novinophobia with Dr. Digi

 Hello Friends,

Novinophobia: The fear of running out of wine!!!! LOL! Perfect sentiment for sharing my project for the month of June with A Perfect Time To Craft!! 

Thanks to out great sponsor this month Dr Digi for the image Nice Glass of Wine to work with! I also added the Wine sentiment set, which added the kick I needed to my wine box !

How fun is this?!! I happen to have the perfect box on hand, that would house a bottle of wine, the box had 2 flat curling irons that came in it! Remember to save your best trash for crafting!! Who Knew!!

The box was already black, so I took advantage of that when choosing my color scheme. I colored my wine bottle and glass using markers, after the marker was dry, I filled in the wine with clear dimensional glaze, to give it a shiny look. I fussy cut out the bottle and glass, after cutting the background paper to fit the front of the box, I adhered the bottle, glass, and glitter "v" for vino to front of the box. I then cut out all of the wine sentiments, and used two to compliment the front of my box.

Moving to inside of the box, I thought it would be fun, to use the rest of the sentiment and make a reading chart if you will, to determine of one should drive home, LOL. Not wanting the fun sentiments to go to waste, I painted a wood block white and  decorated the block with the rest of the sentiments.

Recycle, Reduce, Reuse!

Secret Garden with Gecko Galz

Welcome Back Friends,

 Who doesn't love a secret garden?? I spent tons of time with my maternal grandma's, both of which to me as a little girl had secret gardens!! Tall beautiful and colorful Hollyhocks, tulips. sweet William, just to name a few. There was always fun things to be found tucked in their gardens!!

My projects this month reflect my love and adventure in their Secret Gardens!  

Using the Story Book Garden ATC collection, and the month of March collage sheet, I created a beautiful tag flip, complete with lace paper edges, sprinkles of shiny and pearly accents!

My second project is a slim line tag, is that a thing? ! For the beautiful tag, I used the birds nest from the March Collage and the tiny fairy from the Pixie Play Jewel It sheet! 

                                        I hope you have enjoy my idea of a secret garden!!

On The Road with Fred She Said!

 Hello Friends,

I always wished I would of learned to ride a motorcycle! I have ridden on the back of a few, and have enjoyed the wind in my hair.. 

I am sharing my super fun slim line card using the fabulous images from Fred She Said,  Afternoon Ride. This digital sheet is jam packed with motorcycles!

I used brick scrapbook paper for the background and of course added some great graffiti, by stamping here and there. Fussy cut out the motorcycles, adhere to the card. Stamp the sentiment of your choice and cut it out to brick and adhere to the front of the of the card, for one fun greeting card!!

Blooming Beauties with Gecko Galz

 Welp, I thought it would be Spring in Ohio, apparently I was wrong! Mother Nature delivered a cold blow these last few days, with 8 inches of snow one day, and 32 degree temps, the next day. Yikes! All of my blooming trees, bushes, have been bite by Mother Nature. However on that note I want to share my two projects for the Gecko Galz blog!!

First up is my Blooming Beauty  project made with  Barouqe Garden ATC Collection and Pixie Play Jewel It Collage Set

Using the circle ATCs, I punched them out and matted them on heavier card stock for strength, I punched out the pixies I chose to use and pop dotted them on top of the circle ATCs creating a flower if you will. Using a leave die cut, I added leaves here and there behind the pixie and behind the ATC for added dimension. I happen to have a beery like die cut on a stem and added a few of those here and there to the flower for added interest. I then hot glued my flowers on paper straws, of course you can use what you have on hand. My vase is a collection of 3 toilet paper rolls, that I always have on hand, as they make great items in creating process, as you can see! I painted them, inked them, and sprayed them with glitter spray, after they were dry I hot glued them together for a one of kind of vase, and save the world from 3 lonely paper rolls! I had a die cut label with room for a ribbon, adding that to the front of my vase. I then hot glued my flower stems here and there inside the rolls, and finished off with some paper shreds. Thoughts on my project???

My second project for the Month celebrating Blooming Beauties ! is a flip book or also called a waterfall card/book.  I made good use of Gecko Galz Floral Dreams Collage Set, perfect for my Blooming Beauties flip book!

Following instruction for a Waterfall card, I cut all pieces, inked the edges, trimmed all my Beauties I chose to use and ink all edges. I then choose my background papers trimmed them to sized and ink all edges. Next came assembly, and finally I dressed up the cover of my flip book!

Be sure to embellish each page of your book with cogs, labels, flowers, book plates and such for a beautiful Blooming Beauties project !

 Happy Spring!! 

Well at least it is Spring in my neck of the woods! There is so much I love about Spring, the exit of winter is a big one, LOL, I have never like winter, not even as a kid. Not sure what I am doing in Ohio!

It is my day up on the Gecko Galz Blog and wanted to share a few fun makes with you . Let me mention that I keep a huge scrap collection, except for the gorgeous images from Gecko Galz,  these next 4 makes have been crafted out of my scrap collection!  Save those scraps!!  

Trio of  round easel Easter cards, I have used both sheets of the Easter Tokens

Using die cuts I cut my various circles need for the card, and pattern paper from my scrap collection! I created my 3 cards  and then put them together, using pop dots for added dimension. Fussy cut the images you want for the front of cards, pop dot your image, add a bow, maybe some jewels, flat book pearls and finish them off with spattering of white acrylic paint mixed with a bit of water! I use a very fine and small round brush for my spatters. Add a bumper to hold your easel card up and your done!

Next up for our monthly theme Walk With Nature, I created a beautiful burlap covered MDF tag, making use of  a image from the Floral Dreams Set

This make is pretty straight forward, die cut a background, pop dot the image, and go wild with fabric flowers, die cut leaves, add a bow, flat backed pearls and a couple vintage straight pins to complete the look!
