A Perfect Time To Craft Sheepski Designs Duplicity Sep 1 2019

Welcome Back Friends,

I am so excited to share my project with you for A Perfect Time To Craft Challenge Blog for the month of  September ! Our fabulous sponser for this month can be found here:  Sheepski Designs

Duplicity- ties, hypocritical, cunning or deception.

I love to work with different and unexpected images.

I recycled a plaque I had found at my area thrift store. It is black and turned backwards it the perfect glass less shadow box!

I began by going through my stash of patterned paper and found the perfect back ground for my projects. I adhered it to the inside back of the plaque.

I used Tom Holtz Distress Oxide in Antique Paper, using my sponge blender, I covered the image, taking care to leave the edges darker and working into lighter color towards the center. I then added a thin coat, quickly brushing on a layer of crackle. Hoping when it dried I had added dimension and it worked!

After the skull was dried, I fussy cut it out, leaving the rose and butterfly intact. I printed a second copy of the image, and fussy cut the rose and the butterfly from the image. I then colored the rose using a eye shadow applicator sponge taking care to have deeper color on the petals toward the center and working the color out, using Tim Holtz Fire Brick Distress Ink, I did the same application on the butterfly using, Tim Holtz Broken China, Seedless Preserves, and Worn Lipstick.

After the rose and butterfly were dry, I used a script stencil from The Crafters Workshop and  green mousse from Nuvo, for another element in my design.

After all the pieces were dry, I pop dotted the skull, the rose and the butterfly, for a one of a kind project, that fits the definition of Duplicity.

Thank You for your continued support and of course I appreciate your kind comments.

Until next time.........

Happy Craft Challenge Blog Fabrika Fantasy Forrest Mouse Sept 1 2019

Welcome Back Friends,

Have I got a darling project for you today, using the Forrest Mouse from: Fabricka Fantasy  I am on the Off The Page team for Happy Craft Challenge Blog and really enjoy being involved with this blog.

I love to recycle items in my craft projects, this one I used a tea tin, I had just used the last tea bag the day before!

I began by covering the tin, in patterned paper. I stamped the sentiment, out twice, the buttercups, and the doo dads that are the set "Buttercup" from The Ink Road, stamp company. I then trimmed out the sentiment to cover the top of the tin, and adhered to the tin lid, and fussy cut out the rest. I adhered all pieces to the front of the tin and finished off the project with some dots using black acrylic pant.

I filled the tin with my favorite biscotti for a yummy gift with a treat!

Thank You for your continued support and as always I appreciate your kind comments.

Until next time..........

Addicted To Stamps and More # 355 Photo- Beach August 21 2019

Welcome Back Friends,

I can't believe school starts next week! Wow, this summer sure has gone by quickly. Which brings me to our latest challenge at Addicted To Stamps and More. Our theme is Photo, and the photo is the beach!!  I love the beach! Which is a little hard to understand, because I don't like the sun or the heat. I love the sand, the smell, the taste of salt on my lips, The sound of the ocean moving in and out is so good for my soul. I love sitting and relaxing, taking it all in. When I am ready for a beach trip, I head to Florida on the Gulf of Mexico. My cousins are there, so I get a much needed break and my heart is full with love and family!!

I loved playing with paper dolls when I was a little girl. Julie Nutting has many doll stamps and I of course have a few!! So I picked my favorite beach doll and got to work. I decided on a giant tag, that I mixed old school paper piecing, which is still a favorite of mine with new school Distress Oxides from Tim Holtz for a one of a kind tag.

Make sure you visit the blog  Addicted To Stamps And More Challenge Blog to check out the wonderful inspiration from my team mates and consider joining us !

Thank You for visiting and I appreciate your kind comments

Until next time.....

Scrapping4fun Challenge Blog # 147 Deepest Sympathy

Welcome Back Friends,

Summer has almost come and gone. School starts next week in Northeast Ohio. Sure did fly. My term with Scrapping4fun Challenge Blog is coming to an end also, sure did fly too.

I just had to send a sympathy card this week, so when my last design team project called for a sympathy or a get well card, I went with what I had on my craft table.

I used Faded Jeans Distress Oxides from Tim Holtzs. I die cut the frame and curly cues from navy card stock using a Spellbinders sapphire die cut. Stamped sorry, added a navy paper flower and then rounded the right top and bottom left corners. Added navy polka dotted ribbon for clean and simple card.

Thank You for visiting and I appreciate your kind comments.

Until next time.....

Addicted to Stamps and More Challenge Blog # 353 Holiday August 7 2019

Welcome Back Friends,

There is a new Challenge starting over at Addicted To Stamps and More, the theme is Holiday. I live in the States and have been very lucky to have made many web friends all over the world. My friends across the pond refer to their vacation as a holiday, since the blog is across the pond, I decided to create a holiday tag!!

I used the beach zombie guy from Art Gone Wild, colored him with colored pencils. I used a hole punch for the dots on his blow up swim ring. I pop dotted him against the yellow oval for interest. Stamped a sand dune, sentiment and finished off the edges with a black scribbles.

I  hope you had a chance to take a holiday, I did! It was wonderful

Thank You for visiting and as always I appreciate your kind comments.

Until next time........

Welcome Back Friends,

I am on the ATC- Artist Trading Card design team for Happy Little Stampers!  This month theme for the Happy Little Stamper Challenge Blog - ATC is Time. Be sure to check out our blog and consider entering in one of our challenges.

Time, where does it go? Seems as though it is flying by. Maybe it is my age, I just recently celebrated 62. I have a son that just celebrated 33, and his boys just celebrated 5 and 3. Seems like yesterday I was planning birthday parties for my son!

I decided to create a set of 3 Artist Trading Coins! Coins are all the rage at this very moment! I am in a couple trading groups and 2 just for trading coins.

To create a coin, you need to punch out a 2 1/2  inch circle, that is it ,and then create away!

I hope I have inspired you to be creative today! It is so good for ones soul.

Thank You for visiting and as always I appreciate your kind comments.

Until next time.......

Get Creative Challenge Blog Drawn by Krista Aug 5 2019

Welcome Back Friends,

Summer has arrived in Northeast Ohio, I had my doubts back in June when we had a few days in the 30's ! Yes, I said 30"s. I didn't turn my heat back on, I had just turned it off the 1st of June, which was a month late for.  Along with the 90 degree days and a many days of rain, my flower gardens are beautiful and so are the weeds!

The dogs day of summer brings our next challenge for  Get Creative Challenge Blog
I chose to work with the Newsprint flower,  DrawnbyKrista  My flowers were my inspiration for my project, a box card, filled with  newsprint flowers.

I paper pieced the flower 3 times and die cut leaves for the flowers. I created a box card and fill the box with the flowers.

Thank You for visiting, and as always I appreciate your support and kinds comment.

Until next time.........

Creating With Infinity Engraving Wood Keys July 15 2019

July 15 2019

Welcome Back Friends,

Keys. I have keys, I have no idea what they go to! I love to collect keys, keys of all kinds, skeleton, car keys, pretty keys, crank keys you name it, I collect it!

I was so excited when I was given this beautiful set of 4 wood keys to work with from CreatingwithIE  The keys come raw and ready for you to add your special touches.

I decided to created a box to hold the keys to my heart, that I am gifting to my 5 tear old grandson. He is forever saying he wished I was part of his family, and could live with them. I always tell him, he has the keys to my heart, so I am always with him, even if I don;t live with him and his family. He is so darn sweet and an old soul.

I recycled a small box, that was part of the packaging from a gift I bought. I covered the box in pattern paper. I  stamped the flying heart all over the box using Tim Holtzs Distress ink , Walnut Stain and inked all the edges.  Then I covered the inside of the lid with matching pattern paper. And inked all edges using Walnut Stain ink.

I gave all the keys a coat of Walnut Ink to tie in the inked edge color.

Thank You for visiting and as always I appreciate your kind comments

Until next time..........
